The Picturing America Project
From John Mark's Wiki
Picturing America is a set of American art posters and teaching materials provided by the National Endowment for the Humanities. The English Language Office in Moscow donated a set of these materials to Herzen State Pedagogical University in St. Petersburg in 2011.
During the spring semester of 2011, several students of the university participated in a research project for which they selected a specific work of art, conducted research and prepared an essay on the results of their work. They also participated in a presentation on May 27, 2011, in which they shared their findings and reflections with visitors in a gallery-like atmosphere.
